Kansas Spirit Sampler Quilt Blocks

I have two more blocks made for my Kansas Spirit Sampler Quilt. The first one is Indian Hatchet. This pattern was often used as a signature or a label block in early quilts.

The second block is Road to California. Pioneers often passed through Kansas on their way to other southwest and west destinations - usually travelling by covered wagons. I imagine many quilt blocks were made on their travels.
