I just finished reading a wonderful book entitled, All Our Wordly Goods, by Irene Nemirovsky. It was originally published in 1949 but has been published again. It is the story of two families in France, over the space of the First and Second World Wars. I really enjoyed the story and just love the Edwardian period of Europe. Irene was killed in Aushwitz in 1942. Many of her works were published post-humously. I plan to read more of her works.
Thought for the Day
It's time for greatness, not for greed. It's a time for idealism, not ideology. It is a time not just for compassionate words, but compassionate action.
