it is the end of October... and I can hardly believe it. I have been in my new home now for 4 months.... doesn't seem like that long. I finished one more Christmas present - a bag made of horse fabrics. This will be for my sister, who is a horse trainer. The other pumpkin bag will most likely be for me. I had extra fused pumpkin appliques from my last class so I decided to make myself a bag.... The horse bag is the third bag I have made from the class I took on Shirley's Fibre Arts Group. That class was well worth the time... and of course, as with all of Shirley's classes on her group, they are free!
On of the most enjoyable things I did in the last few days was quilt a piece for my friend Laurel Francis of Shaggy Dog Designs. This is a part of the quilting I did. You can see more of this quilt on my quilting website.
Thought for the Day
I'll bet living in a nudist colony takes all the fun out of Halloween.

I really like your four patch stack quilt...this is the same technique that I learned this weekend at retreat, except my instructor called it four patch swirl. I am doing mine in Christmas fabrics, and calling it Jingle Bell Swirl. there is a picture on my blog if you want to check it out.
Beautiful bags debbie. what a nice idea to make a fall one. I may have to borrow your idea.
Fun fun bags! And your quilting is A-MAZE-ZA-ZING!
Hi Deb - love the bags. I am glad you found the class easy to follow. Thanks for the kind words about the Learning fa (fiberart) group. I am just setting up the classes for 2009 and we have some great free classes planned.
It is hard to believe you have been in Athabasca for 4 months! I am glad you are enjoying it so much. Time flies. I love your quilt. Shirley
Wonderful quilting!
