Mountains......

I really miss seeing the Mountains when I drive anywhere!! I guess I just took them for granted when I lived in Calgary - since I lived there my whole life. I took this picture last weekend when I was in Calgary - just a gentle reminder..... I think I would like to to a landscape of just the mountains...

I picked up some new fabric at one of my favorite quilt stores, Traditional Pastimes, and decided that I would make my mom a new table runner for her coffee table for Easter.... I cut out the blocks at my retreat and finished them up yesterday.... I think she will really like it. The blocks are churn dash and it really didn't take that much fabric to make this quilt.

I'm with you on mountains, you can keep your tropical beaches....I want a view of mountains. I grew up with a mountain view from my parents' kitchen window.

I too miss the mountians. There are none here in Florida.
I like the churn dash runner. Looks like she will be able to use it several times a year. Excellent color choices.

Hi Deb. I am just back from a trip to the mall and the view of the Rockies from the road is wonderful. You could reach out and touch them.
The peaks are covered with snow and the mountains look so blue! I think you should definitely do a wall hanging of the Rockies around Canmore or Banff. I have lots of photos if you want to try one. Shirley

That is a great table runner - I just love the way the strip fabric comes together and looks woven.
