Yesterday we had a beautiful Blue Heron land on our beach..... just such a serene bird.....
This little project was a kit from Connecting Threads.... and was hand pieced! The hexagons didn't take quite as long as I thought and I really enjoyed making this little purse.
I also finished my applique towels for the swap that I am in for December....no pics of those yet... cause the receivers won't be getting them until later..... All in all, it has been a productive summer... I will have some more exciting news towards the end of the month.

Debbie I love that purse now I have to run over to connecting threads and see if I can find it.
Thanks for helping feed my shopping monster LOL!
Hi Debbie,
Let me know what colors you want and style of block and I will start on it today!
Deb - I love the Heron -- you have such a nice spot!
Love your little bag too. Miserable rain here!

Lovely pic of the heron, they are beautiful - we were lucky enough to see one on a visit to BC a few years ago. We have had lots of rain recently and mushrooms are springing up here too, but I don't think they are edible!
Great bag Debbie. I am so looking forward to the towels. Thank you for sharing such lovely pictures. I always love the pictures of your home and town.
I love to see the mushrooms pop up too. My daughter laughs at me and says she has never seen someone get so much pleasure out of a fungus.
Cute bag!
