I made some cards today.... I need a few for different swaps... plus for birthdays... so I spent about an hour making these...
I also have been wanting to make a disappearing nine-patch quilt for awhile. I really should be working on other UFO's, but .... I just wanted to do something quick and easy today. I received 7 fat quarters in a give-away from Bluebird Quilts and thought they would be great for the disappearing nine-patch. - and I was right! The 7 fat quarters made a quilt about 35 X 45..... and this is what it looked like before I added border...
and I fiddled with the setting and added a small red border and then a green border... and now I have a lovely lap quilt for my mother in law...... hope to quilt it up tomorrow....

wow, so 7 fat quarters made that lap quilt? That is downright fast and lovely by the way.
Hello Debbie, you must be very happy with the result of the disappearing nine patch and sure your MIL will love the quilt.I had a lot of fun with the giveaway and must admit are addicted to them. You are very welcome and glad you found a use for the fat quarters.Originally I purchased six and later added the seventh. It was great to see a finished quilt from them. Love the quilt and also your cards. Are your cards all made by stamping???? I wish I could make such beautiful cards. You are really very talented.
I know you are busy, but do you have a tutorial or the instructions for the disapearring nine patch quilt?
You sure did get a lot accomplished in one afternoon. Looks great.
Hi Debbie!
Thanks for entering my giveaway. I was working on my Disappearing 9-Patch today also. Will be posting about it in a while...
Happy stitchings and good luck! 8-)
That's gorgeous, Debbie. I love what you have chosen for the borders, too.
